News You Can Use

Welcome to our humble website. The Cathcarts date back to 1178 A.D.with the name coming from the River Cart in Renfrewshire. The name literally means 'strait of Cart'. So there you have it.
We did have a castle until the City of Glasgow demolished it - such heathens! It makes you want to fire up the battering ram and burst thru the door of the mayor's home to speak your peace. Anyway, welcome and e-mail your thoughts to the address below. Cheers!

It Just Keeps Getting Better & Better
Still reading? Great - we aim to please. The Arms of the Cathcarts will be scanned in eventually, but trust me it looks cool. Our motto is 'I hope to speed'. A more modern translation would be 'I have the need for speed' for you hot doggers out there.

Still With Us....
The Cathcarts are a hearty lot able to benchpress over 1,100 pounds underhanded. We like our drink (never on Sunday of course) and song (Born to Be Wild). We are frequently found scaling castle walls or trying to find a sleeping leprechaun (show me the money - dude). We love our families and tradition.
